The “Snow Tubing Center Opening” was a pre-opening showcase and celebratory event for Sponsors of Ober Gatlinburg’s Rails event with a snow sports exhibition and sponsor tents. It took place on November 17, 2017
IACMI/UT participation goal was to increase awareness for IACMI-The Composites Institute, the UT engineering program, IACMI partners, advanced composites in consumer goods such as sleds, and ultimately the ecosystem of collaboration in Tennessee- which helped develop the sled with multiple Tennessee companies (IACMI/UT/ORNL/MVP + others), and highlighting economic impact in Tennessee when we’re all working together for a common goal, whether it’s promoting tourism, participating in tourism as a resident of the state of TN, or innovating together.
Ober was pleased to promote the local ecosystem of innovation and believes this is a “neat way to get the word out about awesome things happening in our region”
