Composites Part B: Engineering (JComp B) – Impact Factor 9.078
The field of composites has exploded in recent years, with innovative applications emerging every single day across various sectors. Advanced composites are steadily growing in aerospace, marine, automotive, defense, wind, sporting, biomedical, infrastructure and industrial applications. JComp B has continually aligned with technology trends to bring its readership fresh insights into the science and engineering of advanced composites. We are pleased to report that JComp B has steadily grown in its Impact Factor (IF) rating, attaining an IF=9.078 and Cite Score of 14.5 in 2021, the highest amongst advanced composites journals worldwide.
JCompB has kept abreast with technologies in material intermediates, design-process-modeling-performance relationship and engineering applications. Recent manuscripts have included emerging trends in advanced reinforcements and resins, material forms & architectures, high-performing thermosets, composites recycling, innovative joining, thermoplastics, additive manufacturing, reduced carbon footprint, cost saving technologies, nano-bio composites, fire, optical and electrical properties, and integrated hybrid composites with enhanced durability.
JCompB has been compiling Special Issues (SI) and invited review papers to provide comprehensive knowledge in areas of high technical interests. The journal is currently inviting submissions for five SIs, namely- (a) Composites Leading Light Weighting; (b) Alkali Activated Materials, (c) Materials for Extreme Environments; (d) The Future of Composites; and (e) Global Technology Roadmaps for Advanced Composites.
Our goal is to bring the community the highest quality technical work aligned with emerging composites technology trends and directions. We seek continuous feedback from the community and look forward to serving its needs. We invite high quality submissions throughout the year. We will provide periodic updates via Editorial Note(s), social media and targeted email communications.
Thank you for your contributions.
