  • Biography

    Jeff is an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Fibers, Composites & Manufacturing Facility (FCMF) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His research focuses on advancing thermoplastic composite manufacturing by developing and optimizing carbon fiber tape processing technologies.

    At FCMF, Jeff contributes to the innovation of a thermoplastic carbon fiber tape production line, supporting the development of advanced manufacturing processes for high-performance composite materials. Prior to joining the University of Tennessee, he served 22 years in the United States Air Force as an aircraft maintenance specialist, working extensively on the F-15 and F-35 fighter aircraft. His military experience provides a strong foundation in precision manufacturing, maintenance, and quality assurance for mission-critical aerospace systems.

    As a full-time student and dedicated father, Jeff brings a disciplined, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach to research, applying decades of hands-on aerospace experience to the advancement of next-generation composite manufacturing technologies.
