    Saunak is a Graduate Research Assistant at the Fibers, Composites & Manufacturing Facility (FCMF) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His research integrates artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced manufacturing to improve the processing and performance of fiber-reinforced composite materials.

    At FCMF, Saunak develops machine learning and artificial intelligence models to optimize fiber sizing processes, enhancing manufacturing consistency and composite performance. He also designs and implements automated data collection systems for the fiber sizing production line, enabling real-time process monitoring and data-driven optimization. By combining advanced analytics with composite manufacturing, his research supports the development of intelligent, efficient, and scalable manufacturing technologies for next-generation engineering applications.
